Day One: NOT-ingham

5 years working in an Architecture Firm in London, almost 2 years working in Planning Enforcement for the Local Council of the Borough of Charnwood. I look back at this time and questioned what I loved about work, what pushed me to put the time, effort and that something more into what I do.

People.

I love working with people. To know that the work I do is providing happiness to someone is what gives me the drive to keep on going. It was never the interaction with faceless companies and developers only looking for profit that made me want to work, it was providing something personal. Not to say that good, positive work can be done for those previously mentioned, but meeting your client, getting to know them and their needs has I found produced the best designs, solutions and satisfaction in my career so far.

I am an architect, not from Nottingham but I studied at University here, found my partner here and I am looking to spend a lot more time here. I am hoping to meet a lot of wonderful people and provide the best service possible, whether through architectural design, producing products or even other endeavors (still a dream to run a street food stall) and create joy through my work in the surrounding area. Lets start with Architecture, but who knows what the future will bring.
